Welcome to our accessible camping zone. We are super pleased you are looking through the details for this camping experience. The Accessible Campsite is available to customers who require accessible facilities and/or support. If you have chosen accessible camping you must complete and submit the Access Requirements Form and upload the required documentation. We will then contact you to confirm that your accessible camping tickets are valid. If you have any questions on the below, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us at access@underthestarsfest.co.uk

  • Our festival campsite is open from Thursday 5pm – Monday 12 noon. Main arena activities don’t start until 11ish (TBC) so it gives you time to get set up.

  • We have a limited number of Thursday early arrival pitches available allowing you to join us a night early.

  • Customers who have reserved space in the Accessible Camping Area will be directed to the Accessible Camping Area by our campsite team on arrival.

  • Accessible car parking is available, and needs to be booked separately

  • We offer free complimentary carer (PA) tickets to individuals in receipt of DLA/PIP/ESA or AA.

  • We have a dedicated accessibility manager who can answer your specific accessibility questions, so please do not hesitate to contact us with any concerns you may have. Please use access@underthestarsfest.co.uk and in the subject title please put accessible camping. This way we can send it to the right people quicker.

  • We have the fabulous AccessoLoo returning once again for the festival, providing toilet, changing and shower facilities.

  • You can camp WITH your car. No long treks from the car park to your final tent location carrying everything plus the kitchen sink! There is space for one vehicle within each tent or caravan/ trailer tent pitch

  • Music and activities don’t finish too late which is great for people looking to get some real kip. Also good news for families.

  • The campsite is not far from the arena. The ground is farmland, sloping in places and the terrain can be uneven.

  • There will be general drinking water taps located around site.

  • Remember, no glass is allowed onsite. If you have bought your own alcohol, please note that this cannot be consumed in the main arena, however, you are more than welcome to enjoy this in the campsite area.

There are a few additional things to note:

  • Accessible Camping and Accessible Car Parking must be booked in advance to ensure availability. (link to Access Requirements Form)
  • Camping is available to weekend festival ticket holders only.

  • Campsite reservations are to be made on a required pitch basis (not per person).

  • Campsite Gas Safety: Any LPG cylinders, not purpose fitted to live-in vehicles, should be as small as possible and preferably Butane. Any cylinders above 5Kg should be secured in an upright position where they cannot be interfered with. No freestanding LPG cylinders above 7Kg are allowed on the campsite without prior arrangement, details of this can be found in the campsite rules which are issued on arrival.

We are so pleased that you are looking at this option. We have worked so hard over the years to make our camping experience as good as we can. Here are some great things you may not know:

  • Our festival campsite is open from Friday 9am – Monday 12 noon. Main arena activities don’t start until 11ish (TBC) so it gives you time to get set up.

  • Limited Thursday upgrades are available allowing you to arrive between 5pm and 9pm on Thursday and join us a night early.

  • There are toilet and hot shower facilities provided as part of the camping ticket.

  • If you are camping in a tent, you will be able to park your car in a designated area in the same field and in the vicinity of your tent. Parking will not be directly next to your tent pitch, but generally within 50m.

  • Music and activities don’t finish too late which is great for people looking to get some real kip. Also good news for families.

  • The campsite is not far from the arena, but take good footwear as the ground may be uneven.

  • There is a dedicated cafe located in the camping zone.

  • There will be general drinking water taps located around site.

  • If you wish to camp with other friends and families, we will do our best to put you together, but The festival campsite is arranged on a first come first served basis, space cannot be reserved. BUT we will REALLY try our best for you.

  • Remember, no glass is allowed onsite. If you have bought your own alcohol, please note that this cannot be consumed in the main arena, however, you are more than welcome to enjoy this in the campsite area.

There are a few additional things to note:

  • For 2024, we have changed the way we are charging for camping. We have listened to your feedback and are trying to establish a fairer system based on both number of people and the space requested. You need to book camping per person and per pitch.

  • All pitches on the campsite must be pre-booked via the ticket booking page

  • Camping is available to weekend festival ticket holders only.

  • Additional gazebos and structures are not permitted, unless agreed with the Campsite Team

  • Please purchase a campsite pitch space for each separate Tent / Campervan / Caravan / Live-in Vehicle.

  • Other than campervans & motorhomes, parking for one vehicle is included with the purchase of a festival campsite pitch for tents, trailer tents & caravans. Any additional vehicles require a car park ticket and must be parked in the festival general car park.

  • Pitches are allocated on a first-come first-served basis on arrival at the festival site.

  • We operate on a fair use of space basis. We are a temporary campsite and we ask you to be considerate in the space you take up when pitching; we appreciate that tents come in all shapes and sizes. If your tent footprint is larger than 4m x 2.5m (or 10 msq) please book a large tent pitch to accommodate the space that you require.

  • Pets (except sight/hearing assistance dogs) are NOT allowed on the campsite or the main festival site.

  • Due to Fire Officer recommendations, awnings or canopies must not link tents. We recommend the use of flame retardant tents.

  • Open Fires (inc barbeques, all solid fuel and liquid fuel based fires) are strictly prohibited throughout the festival site and campsite.

Accommodation within walking distance of the festival site is in short supply but there are a number of hotels and B&Bs within driving distance.

A good place to start looking is right here http://visitpenistone.co.uk/events.html
